This portrait of Brayzn is based on a photo taken during a competitive trailride, near Mt. Adams in Oregon. Apparently it was 114F that day, though you'd never know it to look at them. Brayzn's owner also rides him in dressage competitions, which makes him a truly well-rounded horse!

As you can see, this painting incorporates a lot more detail than most of my work, and took quite a bit longer to paint than I expected-- though I must say, I really enjoyed working on the softer, more impressionistic areas in the background. Because of the amount of painting involved in this kind of full-body, full-background portrait, it would cost about $200.
